About

What this is. Saaspreneur Gulf is a reference site about building and running SaaS companies in the United Arab Emirates. It covers the local market directly, and two questions next to it: expanding into the UAE from the UK, and relocating to the UAE from the US or Europe.

The vantage point. This site is researched and written from outside the UAE. The person behind it is not based in the Emirates and has not founded a SaaS company that reached scale. That is the reason for the format. There are no ten-point lists written from authority the site does not have. It reports, aggregates, and cites.

The method. Every factual claim names its publisher and year. Numbers come from sources that were opened and confirmed to contain the figure, not from memory and not from other blogs. Wamda's report, for example, puts 2025 UAE startup funding at about USD 2 billion across 218 companies (Wamda, January 2026). Where a number could not be verified on a public page, it is left out rather than rounded or guessed. Tax and free-zone rules are cited to government or professional sources, and none of it is advice for your specific company.

This is aggregated public information, not legal, tax, or immigration advice. Rules change and individual circumstances vary. Verify anything here with a licensed advisor before acting on it.

Who it's for. UAE-based founders and operators who want the local picture in one place. UK founders weighing a Gulf entity. US and European founders deciding whether to move. If that is not you, the newsletter will not be worth your inbox space, and that is fine.

Corrections. If a number or a claim here is wrong or out of date, tell us. Email corrections@saaspreneur.ae (address to confirm before launch) with the page, the line, and a source. Corrections are made in public and carry the date they were made.
